The following is from actual bets placed on 28/12/2009 for a tennis match on 4/1/2010. £157.89 placed on Robson with BetFred to win at 9/4. £342.11 on Shvedova with BetClic at 1-2. This gives a total bet of £500.00 and guaranteed win of £13.16 or 2.63%.
If Robson had won winnings would have been £355.26, giving profit of £13.16 (355.26 winnings less the lost bet of 342.11).
If Shvedova had won winnings would have been £171.05, giving profit of £13.16 again (171.05 less the lost bet of 157.89).
For our purposes it does not matter which person wins.
